FREEHOLDER VICARI SCHEDULES BERKELEY TOWNSHIP SENIOR OUTREACH SESSION FOR AUGUST 13TH
OCEAN COUNTY FREEHOLDER Joseph H. Vicari has scheduled a senior citizen outreach program for August 13th in
Berkeley Township.
“This is an opportunity to meet with local seniors, discuss issues important to them and answer any questions
they may have,” Vicari said. “I encourage any older adult who wants to talk about county, or other issues impacting
them, to attend.”
The session begins at 10 am at the Berkeley Township Administration Building, 627 Pinewald-Keswick Road in
Bayville. No appointment is necessary.
Vicari, who is Chairman of Senior Services, said that among the topics he will address are recent changes to
PAAD and Senior Gold and property tax reimbursement.
“We’ll also have our 2009 Senior Resource Directory and other materials from the Office of Senior Services
available,” Vicari said.
Joining Vicari at the session will be Director of Senior Services Jane Maloney and Linda McManus, Director of
Berkeley Outreach Services.
While the Senior Services offers a wealth of information both at its 1027 Hooper Avenue headquarters in Toms
River and at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall, Vicari said its also important to bring the latest issues
directly to Ocean County’s senior population.
“We’ll be doing a similar outreach in Manchester Township on August 19,” Vicari said.
The Manchester session is scheduled to begin at 10 am in the meeting room of the Manchester Township
Administration Building.
